Hi there! We hope you’re continuing to stay safe and well. Here’s quick round up of news to help keep you updated…
BSG National Office remains open during this busy membership and sugarcraft insurance renewal period, and we are focussing even more of our attentions on The Sugarcraft Lounge, our members’ community Facebook group, where you will find numerous video tutorials, cake photos, and can continue to enjoy lots of friendly cake chat and keep in contact with fellow Guild members from around the world.
The new membership year began on 1st April and we invite you to JOIN or RENEW your membership subscription. We have extended the online store facility to allow Branch Members to renew their membership & insurance whilst local branch meetings remain suspended: www.bsguk.org/online-branch-renewal/

Some members are now offering socially distanced take-away / delivery services for their cakes & bakes and have enquired about their BSG Sugarcraft Insurance during the situation with Covid-19. The BSG’s policy has remained unaffected throughout this difficult period and continues to provide the usual public & products liability cover to all those members who have purchased the policy.
Our brokers, ADS Insurance have provided this helpful advice to reassure you: Ansvar Insurance who are the underwriters for the BSG Insurance scheme have not imposed any restrictions with regards to sugarcrafters carrying on their business activities. Obviously there have been various Government guidelines put in place with regard to social distancing and as long as these are adhered to then I see no reason why all our sugarcrafters cannot carry on offering their services in these difficult times.
We have introduced The Sugarcraft Lounge Encore! where we will revisit some of our most popular tutorials for you to enjoy over the coming weeks, whilst we aren’t able to film live demonstrations. Currently, we have Cassie Brown demonstrating a Phalaenopsis Orchid and showing how to colour sugar flowers using an airbrush, alongside Justine Talbot making Anemone, Rose & Hydrangea Wafer Paper Flowers. We’re also sharing some of the live demonstrations hosted by Region 1… It’s all happening over in The Sugarcraft Lounge Join in today!
Order your British Sugarcraft Guild membership in the online store and we’ll be sure to send you the latest edition of Sugarcraft News, your members’ magazine.
