BSG Membership
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in sugarcraft and cake decorating, from the complete novice to professionals in their field; everyone can benefit from the sharing and learning experience that being a British Sugarcraft Guild member can bring.
Members receive the quarterly Sugarcraft magazine and have the opportunity to:
- Meet and share ideas
- Get help and advice
- Discuss the latest techniques and trends with other members
- Purchase Public and Products Liability ‘Sugarcraft Insurance’ (for UK members) at a discounted preferential BSG members’ rate
- Enter BSG sugarcraft competitions at our exhibitions and learn how to improve your standards
- Train as a sugarcraft demonstrator or judge
- Access the members-only Sugarcraft Lounge with monthly online tutorials
- Benefit from exclusive member offers and discounts
Membership is renewable annually and runs from 1st April to 31st March.
Branch Membership
Join your local branch and attend monthly in-person meetings, enjoy demonstrations, learn new icing and cake decorating skills and participate in activities and branch events.
Each branch has an additional fee to cover their venue hire and demonstratior costs (branch fees vary).

Individual Membership
You may still attend any BSG branch paying admission as a visiting member. Learn new icing and cake decorating skilld and participate in Area and national activities.
International Membership
We are delighted to welcome members from around the world. Apart from in-person meetings and sugarcraft insurance (only available in the UK), you have all the same benefits.
Cygnet (under 18's) Membership
Many BSG branches have Cygnet members, and some even have separate Cygnet groups (DBS compliant).
Cygnets receive two digital magazine and two newsletters each year and have access to a Facebook group (for those over 13 or their parent).
