Welcome to The International Salon Culinaire taking place on 20-22 March 2023 at ExCeL, London
The International Salon Culinaire is the only event of its type, judged by senior members of the leading chefs’ associations, The Association of Pastry Chefs, The British Culinary Federation, The Craft Guild of Chefs, The MasterChef’s of Great Britain and The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts.
Previous winners in The International Salon Culinaire competitions have gone on to rank amongst the UK’s most celebrated and awarded chefs, both in the UK and internationally. A highly prestigious programme of competitions and one that sets many young chefs off on a professional career with the skills and confidence to thrive.
The Salon will comprise of over 100 competitions across four different categories – Salon Display, Live Theatre, Skills Theatre and Sugarcraft. Professional chefs, junior chefs, students and apprentices are invited to enter one or more competitions from the full selection, with our Sugarcraft section open to Professional Cake makers.

International Salon Culinaire has continued to be regarded as one of the world’s top competitions for chefs for over a century. The competitions have been a platform for chefs of all levels from the talented young chefs training at college, to those who are well established and firmly on their culinary career journey. Salon Culinaire offers the industry a platform to highlight the fantastic and exciting gastronomic skills that the hospitality industry has to offer.
The Sugarcraft section will have a range of different competitions involving the use of different mediums, in a wide variety of styles and themes. Classes include:

Professional Cake Decorator of the Year 2023
We are pleased to once again be recognising the most successful competitor in Sugarcraft at HRC 2023.
The winner of the award will be identified by converting the awards that Sugarcraft competitors have achieved as follows: Gold Medal = 4 points | Silver Medal = 3 points | Bronze Medal = 2 points | Certificate of Merit = 1 point. All the points will be aggregated and the Sugarcraft competitor with the highest number of points will be crowned Professional Cake Decorator of the Year 2023. The winner will receive a commemorative trophy and will be announced at the final awards ceremony.
