The BSG Summer Skills School offers you 3½ days sugarcraft tuition plus evening social activities and is the perfect opportunity for British Sugarcraft Guild members to come together and share the experience of learning new cake decorating skills in a friendly and social atmosphere. Non-members wishing to develop their talents and meet new sugarcraft friends are also very welcome.

with Linda Garnham
Linda is a respected sugar artist, tutor, and demonstrator; she is also a BSG judge having won numerous awards for her sugarcraft.
In this class, Linda will teach you how to create exquisite and delicate flowers using cutters and templates. You will learn how to achieve realistic colouring using petal dusts and how to assemble all the component parts into a beautiful spray of sugar flowers.
‘Sunny Days’ Modelling
with Nicky Fuller
Nicky is a BSG accredited demonstrator and a tutor, in addition to coaching new demonstrators as a member of the Guild’s demonstrator training team.
In our ‘Sunny Days’ cake and model class, Nicky will teach you valuable modelling skills as she shares useful hints and tips along the way to to make this essential cake decorating skill easier to achieve and fun to do – helping you create perfect results.

Enjoy evening socials and get togethers with your fellow students. Friday afternoon is left free for you to explore the historic cathedral city of Canterbury at your leisure.

The full residential course includes all tuition and activities, overnight accommodation in a single ensuite bedroom with breakfast, morning and afternoon refreshments. Lunch may be purchased from the nearby cafeteria. Reasonably priced evening meals are available on campus or take the short ride into Canterbury with its wide variety of bars and restaurants.
Students will receive an equipment list and itinerary once full payment has been received. Bring your own toolbox. (International members tools may be supplied – by arrangement.)
Please note. A 25% non-refundable deposit is payable on booking. You might like to arrange travel insurance to protect your deposit payment in the event that you should you need to cancel your booking at any time.
